After dreaming for months about vanlife, we decided do it, buying a van. In an old shed, far away in the countryside of the Netherlands, we saw our future home on wheels: a brightly yellow 4×4 Renault Trafic v313 from 1991. We worked hard to make the cargo van a real campervan. In september 2017 we hit the road for a year of vanlife adventure. Via Spain and Portugal we drove to Morocco where we spend the winter. In the end of February we took the ferry to Italy, to cross the country in three days and take a another ferry to our next destination: Albania. After a cold and snowy month in Albania we drove to Turkey. On the way we stopped on the Greek Island, Thassos, to adopt our furry friend Tobi. Then, we stayed two months in Turkey and drove all the way to the east to visit Georgia. We spend a beautiful month in Georgia and headed west by taking a ferry to Ukraine. Vanlife was almost over, because we drove back to the Netherlands through Ukraine, Poland and Germany. On this page you can find more about the countries we visited, our yellow van and our experiences with travelling in a small campervan. You can find more stories about our travels here.
